In the 5th minute, Will Hotte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Atletico Roma getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Andre Pollard hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Leon Hudson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Atletico Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Gus Simpson came free, but Fedele Scutti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Dean Dyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dundee Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Roma the free kick. The supporters of Atletico Roma booed when Dundee Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Dyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Borthwick was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Will Hotte. 23 minutes into the game, Leon Hudson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Brandon Borthwick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Roma's zone, Oliver McIlvride stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Scutti came out of the goal and Oliver McIlvride tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Hotte got free with Brandon Borthwick in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gus Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fedele Scutti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fedele Scutti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick McDonachie, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, Dundee Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy McInroy to maneuver through the defense. Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick McDonachie in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Andre Pollard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Dyer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fedele Scutti came out and tried to block the shot, but Dean Dyer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 64th minute. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 minutes of play, Atletico Roma's Leon Hudson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brandon Borthwick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oliver McIlvride recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andre Pollard scored 3-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brandon Borthwick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
