Quinn Coyle started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Quinn Coyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emrys Fry. Chester City AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quinn Coyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Peissawg Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lisandro Ospin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 13th match minute, Chester City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boleslaw Mudry to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Cosme Estebano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guinness Athletic and the Chester City AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guinness Athletic's Cosme Estebano got a free kick in the 19th minute. Guinness Athletic's Louis McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guinness Athletic were furious when Blaithmeic Dempsey was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute, one of Guinness Athletic:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guinness Athletic. Chester City AFC's Peissawg Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chester City AFC's Boleslaw Mudry got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Berwyn Dunkin charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berwyn Dunkin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Berwyn Dunkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Boleslaw Mudry made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Louis McWill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guinness Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chester City AFC the free kick. Emrys Fry didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Louis McWill went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Chester City AFC's goalkeeper Emrys Fry had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quinn Coyle. Emrys Fry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis McWill, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Quinn Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peissawg Francis took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lisandro Ospin. Lisandro Ospin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. A collision led to Chester City AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Waljan Cartledge hit a great ball. Lisandro Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Mudry in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Desmond McOliver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guinness Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chester City AFC the free kick. If Louis McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chester City AFC booed when Guinness Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Estebano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guinness Athletic's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
