Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nick McDonachie took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, The White Rovers's Trevor Brooke got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Oliver McIlvride's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francis Gurney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes, William McJames mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dundee Rovers and the The White Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of The White Rovers booed when Dundee Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. William McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Gurney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McIlvride, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nick McDonachie kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Francis Gurney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick McDonachie's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Gus Simpson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Oliver McIlvride ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francis Gurney was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Walter Munn hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. William McJames kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Dundee Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur McKelvie to maneuver through the defense. The White Rovers's Mattias Cartwright got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, The White Rovers's Mattias Cartwright got a free kick in the 35th minute. Doug Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Josh Galloway hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattias Cartwright was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Nick McDonachie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dundee Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Nick McDonachie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francis Gurney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doug Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Dundee Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Walker came free, but Brandon Borthwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Cartwright in the 55th minute of play forced Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, The White Rovers's goalkeeper Francis Gurney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick McDonachie. Mattias Cartwright kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Nick McDonachie in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francis Gurney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oliver McIlvride kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Francis Gurney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McIlvride, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Nick Rushforth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nick Rushforth fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The White Rovers's protests and gave Nick Rushforth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, The White Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Rushforth to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Nick McDonachie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattias Cartwright in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brandon Borthwick saved Dundee Rovers from getting behind. Francis Gurney was a little too slow when Gus Simpson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-2. After 94 minutes, Nial Blakeley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The White Rovers and the Dundee Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nial Blakeley kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The The White Rovers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dundee Rovers's performance. The match ended with a win for Dundee Rovers.
