An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan McNamee in the 6th minute of play forced Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nick McDonachie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Lisandro Ospin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 13 minutes into the game, Blaithmeic Dempsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guinness Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dundee Rovers the free kick. In the 13th minute, one of Guinness Athletic:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guinness Athletic. Oliver McIlvride placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Lisandro Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus Simpson in the 16th minute of the match. Brandon Borthwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan McNamee in the 17th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Lisandro Ospin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute, Arthur McKelvie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Guinness Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Nick McDonachie came free, but Lisandro Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quinn Coyle made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gus Simpson in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lisandro Ospin saved Guinness Athletic from getting behind. Gus Simpson took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lisandro Ospin. Lisandro Ospin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Lisandro Ospin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick McDonachie's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nick McDonachie in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lisandro Ospin saved Guinness Athletic from getting behind. Oliver McIlvride recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darick Todd hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Guinness Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan McNamee to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McIlvride, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Nick McDonachie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gus Simpson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Ospin having to interfere. Lisandro Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gus Simpson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Briain McJon charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Briain McJon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Briain McJon kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guinness Athletic's goalkeeper Lisandro Ospin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Nick McDonachie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dundee Rovers's Gus Simpson got a free kick in the 91st minute. Brandon Borthwick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Louis McWill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 96 minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
