In the 19th minute Ryan McNamee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Dlyan in the 20th minute of play forced Guinness Athletic's goalkeeper Lisandro Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francis Gurney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan McNamee in the 24th minute of the match. Mattias Cartwright recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Ryan McNamee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Guinness Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Dlyan came free, but Lisandro Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Dlyan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Ospin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Quinn Coyle got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattias Cartwright in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lisandro Ospin saved Guinness Athletic from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattias Cartwright was the one to do the kick off. Francis Gurney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinn Coyle in the 50th minute of the match. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by The White Rovers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Briain McJon was slow to take the kick. During this time Guinness Athletic's players had a chance to rest. In the 56th minute, Kyle Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guinness Athletic's Quinn Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nial Blakeley kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Guinness Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Desmond McOliver. Lisandro Ospin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattias Cartwright in the 62nd minute. Ryan McNamee took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francis Gurney. Francis Gurney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Lisandro Ospin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Cartwright's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Joel Dlyan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Lisandro Ospin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72ndth minute of the game Mattias Cartwright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guinness Athletic's Lisandro Ospin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Louis McWill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Louis McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinn Coyle in the 81st minute of play forced The White Rovers's goalkeeper Francis Gurney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francis Gurney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinn Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Briain McJon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francis Gurney. The White Rovers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
