River Thames FC's Trev Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin Oldham in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute Gus Weir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Chelsea's Romário Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trev Cahill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Thorne in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Weir in the 16th minute of play forced River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Timothy Thorne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy Thorne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Cahill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute Timothy Thorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the River Thames FC defense, Romário Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trev Cahill. The River Thames FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trev Cahill should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Timothy Thorne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trev Cahill. River Thames FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timothy Thorne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Gus Weir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 36 minutes, Ian York managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Thames FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian York was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kristian Laycock's late challenge caught a Real Chelsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Laycock helped the player get up and apologised. Real Chelsea's Gus Weir got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes River Thames FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Tano. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Stu Bullock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Stu Bullock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Cahill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian York to make the kick off. Trev Cahill came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Chelsea's Gus Weir. But to his dismay, Gus Weir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Wei Bing Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timothy Thorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save River Thames FC from getting a goal against them. When Timothy Thorne fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Chelsea's protests and gave Timothy Thorne a yellow card for diving instead. Timothy Thorne kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Gus Weir's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Trev Cahill skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 75th minute of the match, Timothy Thorne tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trev Cahill saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Real Chelsea's Romário Chaves got a free kick in the 76th minute. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Tyler Tolley replaced Gus Weir. In the 77th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Timothy Thorne took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trev Cahill. Trev Cahill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 84 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Tolley. After having played for 86 minutes, Timothy Thorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timothy Thorne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Kristian Laycock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trev Cahill didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kelvin Oldham went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The Real Chelsea fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Real Chelsea's Tyler Tolley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match was over Real Chelsea could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Thames FC throughout the match.
