Siawn Bartells came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Guinness Athletic's Louis McWill. But to his dismay, Louis McWill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Selyv Hacker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lisandro Ospin made a huge save. After having played for 21 minutes, Ryan McNamee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guinness Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan McNamee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Siawn Bartells didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quinn Coyle went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Cronin during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henry Cronin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. During the 32nd minute of the match Henry Cronin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Henry Cronin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Guinness Athletic's Henry Cronin got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Guinness Athletic's goalkeeper Lisandro Ospin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Selyv Hacker. Selyv Hacker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lisandro Ospin came out and tried to block the shot, but Selyv Hacker slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 35th minute. Louis McWill hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The wind increased when Quinn Coyle made the kick off in the second half. When Doney McDonald came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Guinness Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doney McDonald couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Guinness Athletic's Kyle Harkin got a free kick in the 57th minute. Quinn Coyle might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siawn Bartells. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quinn Coyle ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Quinn Coyle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Siawn Bartells. That made the score 1-4 in the 65 minute of play. If Quinn Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siawn Bartells took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis McWill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guinness Athletic's Quinn Coyle came free and shot a quick shot against goal 85 minutes in the game, fortunately Siawn Bartells had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Llwydeu Crowther's late challenge caught a Guinness Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Llwydeu Crowther helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Llwydeu Crowther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Selyv Hacker came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the inter Cardiff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selyv Hacker couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guinness Athletic walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
