Trev Cahill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huw Howard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Charles Baker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Marcus Swift made a precise shot to the right of Emrys Fry. Chester City AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Chester City AFC's Boleslaw Mudry got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huw Howard in the 23rd minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match, Marcus Swift got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emrys Fry was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian York stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Berwyn Dunkin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Trev Cahill quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 55 minutes into the game, one of River Thames FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 63rd match minute, Chester City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peissawg Francis to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Huw Howard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Trev Cahill. The goal made the score 3-2. Trev Cahill made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Boleslaw Mudry sent off a good shot on target. After 74 minutes of play, Chester City AFC's Huw Howard made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trev Cahill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emrys Fry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian York, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Aras Görkem Zümer scored 4-4 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emrys Fry, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Trev Cahill successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Boleslaw Mudry came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Trev Cahill could save by the left post. A collision led to River Thames FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Aras Görkem Zümer hit a great ball. In the 97th minute of the match Rhuvawn Corr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trev Cahill showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
