The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pastor Oriche was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Jan-Erik Lönn put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keylor Navas. A hard shot 18 in the game by Jan-Erik Lönn from a close distance when the talented Keylor Navas managed to make a qualified save. NECKER49's players were relieved. The supporters of Formentera booed when NECKER49 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Modestio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaias Lesardo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Formentera's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 25 minutes into the game, Higinio Reynardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NECKER49's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formentera the free kick. In the 24th minute, one of NECKER49:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NECKER49. Arturo Erramu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, NECKER49's Geronimo Modestio got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Su to maneuver through the defense. When Formentera's Jan-Erik Lönn in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NECKER49's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Ebardo was the one to do the kick off. Jan-Erik Lönn might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keylor Navas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Erik Lönn ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 56th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Nicanor Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NECKER49's Franco Muñoz was substituted for Wilfredo Ebardo. Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87th play minutes Jan-Erik Lönn shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Keylor Navas and just under the crossbar into goal. Formentera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
