Bukay Saka scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martín Izquierdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Severino Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heavenly Hooters the free kick. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Severino Loco got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Saverio Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heavenly Hooters's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martín Izquierdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Frutos kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Saverio Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martín Izquierdo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Beesley in the 27th minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudley Hadley in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Ribeiro came free, but Martín Izquierdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dudley Hadley scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martín Izquierdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Heavenly Hooters got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Bide. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Martín Izquierdo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Saverio Ribeiro. Heavenly Hooters's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
