Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Formentera from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 14th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko got control of the ball when Nicanor Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Vidal got free with Prudencio Otsoko in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in NECKER49's zone, Jan-Erik Lönn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keylor Navas came out of the goal and Jan-Erik Lönn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keylor Navas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Lönn's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute Santo Illan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Jan-Erik Lönn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keylor Navas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 35th minute, Isaias Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute of the match, Wilfredo Ebardo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Prudencio Otsoko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Alejo Kaxen fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NECKER49's protests and gave Alejo Kaxen a yellow card for diving instead. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by NECKER49's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santo Illan was slow to take the kick. During this time Formentera's players had a chance to rest. Celedonio Rafe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 44th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, NECKER49's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Lönn came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The NECKER49 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Formentera were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Ebardo to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Lope. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Wilfredo Ebardo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Prudencio Otsoko. NECKER49's Franco Muñoz was substituted for Wilfredo Ebardo. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Santo Illan hit a great ball. Jan-Erik Lönn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keylor Navas having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, NECKER49's goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Erik Lönn. Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 80 minutes in the game, Jan-Erik Lönn fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keylor Navas having to interfere. Jan-Erik Lönn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Franco Muñoz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko. Prudencio Otsoko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Franco Muñoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Prudencio Otsoko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. NECKER49 had played much better football throughout.
