Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Isaac Perrando got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Formentera booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Izquierdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 3 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Santo Illan. After a defensive mix-up in Martin Palermo F.C.'s zone, Jan-Erik Lönn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martín Izquierdo came out of the goal and Jan-Erik Lönn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Urbano Medero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Jan-Erik Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 12th minute of the match. Martín Izquierdo came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's Jan-Erik Lönn. But to his dismay, Jan-Erik Lönn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jan-Erik Lönn took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martín Izquierdo. Martín Izquierdo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Prudencio Otsoko made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Benicio Izquierdo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Illan in the 31st minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Isaias Lesardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martín Izquierdo. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Lesardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Benicio Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Prudencio Otsoko made a huge save. Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Formentera's Jan-Erik Lönn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martín Izquierdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Erik Lönn to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Izquierdo came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martín Izquierdo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Lönn's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santo Illan during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Santo Illan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Erik Lönn got free with Martín Izquierdo in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Erik Lönn might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martín Izquierdo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Erik Lönn ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 73rd minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Izquierdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Lönns short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Martín Izquierdo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benicio Izquierdo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Joaquin Vela's late challenge caught a Martin Palermo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquin Vela helped the player get up and apologised. 83 minutes into the game, Jan-Erik Lönn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martín Izquierdo. Jan-Erik Lönn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Santo Illan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santiago Vito kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Santo Illan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
