Fighting Burning Hearts's Ennio Formica quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Percival Tavares, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Joshua Cumming who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Fedele Bruno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Erivaldo Maia made a precise shot to the right of Fedele Bruno. Fighting Burning Hearts's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Fighting Burning Hearts's Amerigo Alfieri suffered a concussion after 36 minutes and had to leave the field.
