In the last second Ennio Orsini throw himself and got hold of the ball when Huw Howard in the 11thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 13th minute, Alex Gibson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emrys Fry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Ennio Orsini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huw Howard in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Clapham Rovers's Ennio Orsini got control of the ball when Boleslaw Mudry tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Mudry came free, but Ennio Orsini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio Orsini was a little too slow when Boleslaw Mudry got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-2. Cléberson Mendonça scored 1-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emrys Fry, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Chester City AFC's Boleslaw Mudry ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ennio Orsini. Ennio Orsini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 40th match minute, Chester City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berwyn Dunkin to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Cléberson Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Emrys Fry. Chester City AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Disappointed in the 2-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emrys Fry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Mendonça in the 58th minute of play. João Francisco Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Vítor Godoi hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléberson Mendonça got free with Emrys Fry in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Cléberson Mendonça could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Emrys Fry however easily saved by the left post. When Donny Stockton fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham Rovers's protests and gave Donny Stockton a yellow card for diving instead. Donny Stockton kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chester City AFC's zone, Jools Holland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emrys Fry came out of the goal and Jools Holland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emrys Fry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jools Holland, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Jools Holland made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 77thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Emrys Fry would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Emrys Fry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Chester City AFC's goalkeeper Emrys Fry had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jools Holland. After 84 played minutes Chester City AFC got a freekick which was hit by Berwyn Dunkin. Clapham Rovers made a substitution. Damien Quinn replaced Alex Gibson. After a rather tough play, Chester City AFC's Berwyn Dunkin got a free kick in the 85th minute. Jools Holland succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-8 in the 93rd playminute. Clapham Rovers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
