A collision led to Chester City AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Waljan Cartledge hit a great ball. If Ian York had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. Ruperto Tano hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Berwyn Dunkin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and River Thames FC's Trev Cahill didn't even have to move. Emrys Fry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Swift, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21stth minute of the game Ian York who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chester City AFC's Emrys Fry was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ian York had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emrys Fry. Chester City AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian York was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 30th match minute, Chester City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huw Howard to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Ian York kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emrys Fry. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Boleslaw Mudry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Chester City AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian York came free, but Emrys Fry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Chester City AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aras Görkem Zümer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 42nd minute, Loyd Harrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Berwyn Dunkin came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Chester City AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berwyn Dunkin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Chester City AFC's Peissawg Francis got a free kick in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Swift got free with Emrys Fry in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, River Thames FC's Emrys Fry threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ian York, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boleslaw Mudry to strike the kick off in the second half. Trev Cahill made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Boleslaw Mudry sent off a good shot on target. If Peissawg Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Trev Cahill successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peissawg Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Trev Cahill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Swift in the 66th minute of play forced Chester City AFC's goalkeeper Emrys Fry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes of play, River Thames FC's Ian York made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emrys Fry was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boleslaw Mudry struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Trev Cahill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester City AFC. After some careless play in the Chester City AFC defense, Marcus Swift kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emrys Fry. The Chester City AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emrys Fry should have stopped the shot. In the 86th match minute, River Thames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loyd Harrington to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Boleslaw Mudry dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trev Cahill, 6-1. If Aras Görkem Zümer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Marcus Swift managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Thames FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Swift was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huw Howard in the 94th minute of play forced River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
