Ruy Berger came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal de Gols F.C's Raimundo Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Raimundo Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Escobar in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Gröhe saved Arsenal de Gols F.C from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Siqueira in the 25th minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Siqueira in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Berger saved ALIANZA 1901 from getting behind. Marcel Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Nicasio Rivadeneira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 45 played minutes ALIANZA 1901 got a freekick which was hit by Pancho Tabernilla. 47 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Gols F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Tomasini came free, but Marcelo Gröhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Marcel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Siqueira in the 57th minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, ALIANZA 1901's Zarbonin Riesco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zarbonin Riesco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ALIANZA 1901 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zarbonin Riesco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 59th minute, one of ALIANZA 1901:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ALIANZA 1901. A hard shot 68 in the game by Elias Siqueira from a close distance when the talented Ruy Berger managed to make a qualified save. ALIANZA 1901's players were relieved. ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Siqueira in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, João Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal de Gols F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Siqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the ALIANZA 1901 defense, Elias Siqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Berger. The ALIANZA 1901 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Berger should have stopped the shot. Elias Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ruy Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal de Gols F.C. 84 minutes into the match, Elias Siqueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruy Berger, 1-3. In the 86th minute of the match, Marcel Branco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruy Berger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Arsenal de Gols F.C were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after ALIANZA 1901's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elias Siqueira took the corner.
