When Erubiel Laurgain fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guanacos's protests and gave Erubiel Laurgain a yellow card for diving instead. Erubiel Laurgain kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Barcellos Mineiro FC were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Guanacos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radul Kokalov took the corner. The corner ended in Radul Kokalov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guanacos's Marcial Orlandus did a great save. Marcial Orlandus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 26th minute of play. Patricio Ugutz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Pierres went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Clemencin in the 33rd minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Patricio Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Guanacos got a corner. Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danilo Sanchez ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 40th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Orlandus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dale Dolar struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marcial Orlandus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcellos Mineiro FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Paulo Pierres made the kick off in the second half. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Clemencin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 59th minute, Ricardo Ekaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Carrascal might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Orlandus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcial Orlandus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Carrascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 69 minutes, Danilo Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guanacos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Barcellos Mineiro FC. Jorge Carrascal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcial Orlandus. 1-1. Guanacos made a substitution. Remigio Ler replaced Marcelo Mendebal. 78 minutes in the game, Paulo Pierres dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Angelino Clemencin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Patricio Ugutz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcial Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wambasther Robben, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Barcellos Mineiro FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Guanacos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radul Kokalov took the corner. In the 95th minute, Remigio Ler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wambasther Robben in the 97th minute of play forced Guanacos's goalkeeper Marcial Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
