In the 20th minute, Alfredo Rocchi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xv de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Hori in the 23rd minute of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute of the match, Alfredo Rocchi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andres Ekhi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Xv de Piracicaba's Ander Uibomäe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andres Ekhi. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play.

Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Rocchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Andres Ekhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Menezes's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Reinaldo Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Sandberg having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Emanuel Olisadebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Txatxu in the 61st minute of the match. If Ramon Menezes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Menezes in the 68th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Hori in the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg got control of the ball when Eusebio Hori tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute Jeronimo Txatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
