The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Muradello's Ernesto Lucente got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ferdinando Cucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Arif Oğuz Cantürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muradello were furious when Demetrio Costacurta was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 32nd minute, one of Muradello:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Muradello. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Pettinelli in the 36th minute of play. Adam Huchro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Alex Battisti skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Freddy Falcon hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, Muradello's Cristiano Pettinelli made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arif Oğuz Cantürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Pettinelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Alemdar Baykut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Battisti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game Adam Huchro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muradello's Alex Battisti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alemdar Baykut in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Cristiano Pettinelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. Cristiano Pettinelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. In the 67th minute, Burnley FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ferdinando Cucci fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 76th match minute, Burnley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Epifani to maneuver through the defense. Muradello's Alex Battisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uğur Arıbaş in the 80th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Africano. After 86 minutes, Barney Mayall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnley FC and the Muradello players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute Adam Huchro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Battisti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Burnley FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Muradello had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
