When Heavenly Hooters's Harold Lloyd in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. When Winfried Teichmann fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Winfried Teichmann a yellow card for diving instead. Winfried Teichmann kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Gino Nölte's late challenge caught a Heavenly Hooters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Nölte helped the player get up and apologised. 6 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Lloyd came free, but Johann Scheuerer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Heavenly Hooters were awarded a corner. Shawn Banks went to the cornerflag to take it. Heavenly Hooters's Shawn Banks was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johann Scheuerer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Lloyd in the 9th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Heavenly Hooters were awarded a corner. Shawn Banks went to the cornerflag to take it. After 10 played minutes Heavenly Hooters got a freekick which was hit by Gus Fountain. Johann Scheuerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Hill, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Johann Scheuerer came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Heavenly Hooters's Harold Lloyd. But to his dismay, Harold Lloyd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 23rd play minutes Harold Lloyd shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Johann Scheuerer and just under the crossbar into goal. Einar Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Einar Lindholm put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Johann Scheuerer. In the 34th minute Harold Lloyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Scheuerer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Heavenly Hooters fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Heavenly Hooters's Harold Lloyd looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Lindholm in the 43rd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gino Nölte was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harold Lloyd to make the kick off. Harold Lloyd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Johann Scheuerer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Heavenly Hooters's Harold Lloyd came free and shot a quick shot against goal 53 minutes in the game, fortunately Johann Scheuerer had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Einar Lindholm was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Harold Lloyd got in the 54th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Johann Scheuerer handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Harold Lloyd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Johann Scheuerer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58thth minute of the game Harold Lloyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hansjörg Selke hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The long shot by Shawn Banks in the 62nd minute really tested Johann Scheuerer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Halil Winskowsky charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Halil Winskowsky the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Halil Winskowsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Shawn Banks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johann Scheuerer skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Harold Lloyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heavenly Hooters's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold Lloyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johann Scheuerer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Heavenly Hooters got a freekick which was hit by Shawn Banks. 71 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harold Lloyd. Harold Lloyd in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johann Scheuerer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 78 minutes into the game, Harold Lloyd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johann Scheuerer. Harold Lloyd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The nice shot from Harold Lloyd in the 86thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Johann Scheuerer had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Shawn Banks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johann Scheuerer. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johann Scheuerer should have stopped the shot. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Pierre Pelc replaced Harold Lloyd. After 92 minutes, Pierre Pelc made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pierre Pelc in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johann Scheuerer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Heavenly Hooters were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
