David Orti scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquiles Oihenarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cecilio Claus came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the BICHO neuquino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Claus couldn't finish the play. Aquiles Oihenarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute of the match, Luciano Abel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquiles Oihenarte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Orti to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, David Orti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Oihenarte came out of the goal and David Orti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BICHO neuquino's Cecilio Claus suffered a sore foot after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Pedro Rojelio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Orti in the 55th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Aquiles Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Alejo Chaime was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BICHO neuquino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. BICHO neuquino made a substitution. Roberto Urritz replaced Hilario Jurgi. Alejo Chaime hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to BICHO neuquino getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Elpidio Raebert hit a great ball. Aquiles Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when David Orti came free, but Aquiles Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of BICHO neuquino booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. BICHO neuquino made a substitution. Gabriel Millrick replaced David Orti. After 82 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Honesto. Aquiles Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Millrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Pedro Rojelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilfredo Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Ramone having to interfere. Aquiles Oihenarte came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by BICHO neuquino's Luciano Abel. But to his dismay, Luciano Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Atlanta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BICHO neuquino.
