Libor Litera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Libor Litera almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer did a great save. Libor Litera took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johann Scheuerer. Johann Scheuerer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gino Nölte kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. FC Kopeto's Bedřich Matyáš got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josef Slepička recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Josef Winkler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Kopeto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Josef Winkler came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Kopeto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Winkler couldn't finish the play. Josef Winkler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johann Scheuerer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Kopeto's Vladislav Kolísek was substituted for Mirko Branda. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Winkler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Noel Erler got a free kick in the 75th minute. FC Kopeto's Josef Winkler got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC Kopeto getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Josef Slepička hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Winkler in the 83rd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Josef Slepička's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johann Scheuerer was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the game, Noel Erler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kopeto the free kick. After 90 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Noel Erler. In the 91st minute, Libor Litera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josef Slepička struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Johann Scheuerer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kopeto. Johann Scheuerer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Slepička, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Kopeto's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
