Duke Munoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Gomesano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When S.D. Bajen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duke Munoz should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, S.D. Bajen's Duke Munoz got control of the ball when Julio Kemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danilo Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Duke Munoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lincoln Hand in the 44th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulysses Baldwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the game, Cobi Kohler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.D. Bajen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Consejo del Mate the free kick. After 48 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Cobi Kohler. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Bolo Bolaño made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Danilo Gomesano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duke Munoz was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lincoln Hand got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duke Munoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Danilo Gomesano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Duke Munoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Kemen in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duke Munoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Rodrigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's Lincoln Hand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D. Bajen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fagildo Pamanes was slow to take the kick. During this time Consejo del Mate's players had a chance to rest. Fagildo Pamanes made a great header on Consejo del Mate's corner, it was just that S.D. Bajen's Duke Munoz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 86th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duke Munoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lincoln Hand got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. S.D. Bajen's Duke Munoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 95th minute of play. Consejo del Mate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fagildo Pamanes in the 96th minute. S.D. Bajen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
