After a defensive mix-up in Despidida AFC's zone, Qi Xun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal and Qi Xun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the game, Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Domeka in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Despidida AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihai Şelaru was slow to take the kick. During this time Xeneizes's players had a chance to rest. 40 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Tino. Qi Xun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Ivănescu came free, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kajetan Gdowik replaced Pastor Tino. If Qi Xun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse got control of the ball when Slavko Mojsovski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Raymond in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Simon Jerrold got a free kick in the 80th minute. Xeneizes's Lucas Iigo was substituted for Tao Fan Xi.
