But to his dismay, Fernando Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute Fernando Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes FC ICEWIND DALE got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Ferfecki. Santos Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, FC ICEWIND DALE's Fernando Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Guillen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santos Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ding Beckham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Damian Heriberto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kuno Lüdimõis. FC ICEWIND DALE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Heriberto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Marinho to make the kick off. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC ICEWIND DALE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
