Eloy Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Onur in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur got control of the ball when Andres Pitin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when Tigres Ñacuñán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sinan Okergun didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Barış Yorangil in the 17th minute of play forced Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match C. A. Potrero got a corner. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Semih Kaya ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led C. A. Potrero's Semih Kaya to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Mazuste despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Potrero from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Mustafa Barış Yorangil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eloy Mazuste was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Belchior Vieira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Andres Pitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lucio Ur made a huge save. C. A. Potrero's Raimundo Santos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Belchior Vieira in the 41 minute of the game. C. A. Potrero's Mustafa Barış Yorangil got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

C. A. Potrero's Lu Lin Zhou was substituted for Özgür Onur. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa Barış Yorangil to strike the kick off in the second half.
