The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Glenn Fyfe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iustin Bâru's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Go Ahead Eagles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cássio Gonçalves in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 10th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Rafa Lojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glenn Fyfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glenn Fyfe was left in no man's land by his defense there! A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Bot in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Dumitru Purcărete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Lojewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Go Ahead Eagles's Facundo Bot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glenn Fyfe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Go Ahead Eagles's Rafa Lojewski got control of the ball when King Scorpio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, James Batistuta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafa Lojewski. James Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 32 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Pachucki. In the 32nd minute of the match Cássio Gonçalves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glenn Fyfe skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th minute, Iustin Bâru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenn Fyfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Vural Akyol hit a great ball. Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 45th minute of the match. Glenn Fyfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Bot in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rafa Lojewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Erling Lewandowski replaced Iustin Bâru. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Anfilogino Manzi replaced Erasmo Damião. 72 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Bot came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erling Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Glenn Fyfe made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Glenn Fyfe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erling Lewandowski. A4p FC Gad were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Go Ahead Eagles for a fine match.
