With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Prosperi in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rambo Ramírez saved Colo-Colo from getting behind. Rubén Martínez took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Prestes. Vladimir Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Tomislav Parev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colo-Colo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Cavern Club the free kick. Tomislav Parev kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Yoel Liñan managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Martínez in the 26th minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Grzegorz Krychowiak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rambo Ramírez. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 35th minute Rubén Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Droguett in the 38th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubén Martínez to make the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladimir Prestes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rubén Martínez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. The Cavern Club's Vladimir Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save The Cavern Club from getting a goal against them. Asaf Durcan made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Vázquez immediately put the ball in play. Colo-Colo's Rambo Ramírez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 68th minute of play. Vladimir Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colo-Colo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
