After 25 played minutes S.D NARCEA got a freekick which was hit by Félix Zărnescu. With a little luck, Cometuétano's Miks Lecis got control of the ball when Paquito Rey tried to sneak it across the goal line. S.D NARCEA's Pietro Macia was substituted for Paquito Rey. Germán Figueres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argenis Coira in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anxelu Esteban in the 89th minute of play forced S.D NARCEA's goalkeeper Germán Figueres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Félix Zărnescu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in S.D NARCEA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Germán Figueres went to the wrong direction when Antoni Paris was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle.
