Nicolás Valentini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ask Stamnes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boulogne F.C.! Ask Stamnes had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Nicolás Valentini's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Boulogne F.C.'s Donato Trentini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruben Sánchez. That made the score 2-2 after 94 minutes of play.
