After some careless play in the Washinkai Warriors defense, Saltuk Askeroğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richie Postolan. The Washinkai Warriors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richie Postolan should have stopped the shot. Richie Postolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saltuk Askeroğlu in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Niculae Ungureanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richie Postolan was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Washinkai Warriors's Andriy Lunin threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joe Kendall, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Richie Postolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saltuk Askeroğlu in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Washinkai Warriors's Calvin Clark got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Washinkai Warriors's Richie Postolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Ungureanu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Saltuk Askeroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richie Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Saltuk Askeroğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Washinkai Warriors's Richie Postolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richie Postolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saltuk Askeroğlu's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Washinkai Warriors's Richie Postolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Ungureanu in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niculae Ungureanu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richie Postolan saved Washinkai Warriors from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benji Hanson was the one to do the kick off. Richie Postolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saltuk Askeroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Washinkai Warriors's Richie Postolan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Washinkai Warriors from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Saltuk Askeroğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Richie Postolan. Richie Postolan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Richie Postolan came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Saltuk Askeroğlu. But to his dismay, Saltuk Askeroğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Saltuk Askeroğlu took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Richie Postolan to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 65 minutes, Niculae Ungureanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Niculae Ungureanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Henning Fink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richie Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Ungureanu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Richie Postolan firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Washinkai Warriors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richie Postolan should have stopped the shot. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution. Eustaquio Brufau replaced Nico Schlotter. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Nisar Burkart was substituted for Niculae Ungureanu. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Washinkai Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shawn East didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Steffen Michalsky came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Michalsky couldn't finish the play. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. played a much better game than Washinkai Warriors and deserved their victory. The Washinkai Warriors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
