Zbyszek Le Bonniec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Elpidio Vitin made a huge save. Gustaw Nowak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Naike's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zbyszek Le Bonniec got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Nowak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Lannister's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Elpidio Vitin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 23 minutes into the match, Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Roland came free, but Gustaw Nowak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vélez Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute of the match, Zbyszek Le Bonniec got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elpidio Vitin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th minute of the match Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy got a corner. Vélez Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciccio Kowalczyk ran over to the corner to take the kick. With his leg Elpidio Vitin managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's Zbyszek Le Bonniec fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gustaw Nowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Roland in the 37th minute of play. Nicolas Roland got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gustaw Nowak handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 44 minutes Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guido Luzaide who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Vélez Juniors's Guido Luzaide to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustaw Nowak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 47 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Guido Luzaide. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Naike to strike the kick off in the second half. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Lannister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Cristian Naike scored to the left of an out of position Gustaw Nowak, making the score, 0-1. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszek Le Bonniec in the 59th minute of play. Gustaw Nowak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Naike's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Kowalczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wawrzyniec Domamir lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Vélez Juniors's Bernardo Sayvion was substituted for Alberto Joey. Elpidio Vitin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbyszek Le Bonniec's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Gustaw Nowak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Sayvion in the 76th minute. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Guido Luzaide hit a great ball. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vélez Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciccio Kowalczyk was slow to take the kick. During this time Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's players had a chance to rest. In the 81st minute, José Pedro Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Cristian Naike managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vélez Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Naike was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Cristian Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gustaw Nowak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Vélez Juniors to win.
