The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leandro Gombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Stockton's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. When England's Kai Havertz in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CAFC1905's goalie prevented a goal. Frank Frankfurter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduard Micineanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Kai Havertz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, William Rigg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The England fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marty Driver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Gombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. CAFC1905's Leandro Gombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Stockton in the 23rd minute of play. In the 32nd minute Kai Havertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Gombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, CAFC1905's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Havertz came free, but Leandro Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Garth Stockton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kai Havertz scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Gombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kai Havertz to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CAFC1905 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Daniel Parkin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CAFC1905's zone, Kristian Markham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Gombal came out of the goal and Kristian Markham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Kai Havertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Gombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Rigg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Leandro Gombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CAFC1905's Leandro Gombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save CAFC1905 from getting a goal against them. When England's Kai Havertz in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CAFC1905's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute, Cecilio Fagildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes CAFC1905 got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Fagildo. CAFC1905's goalkeeper couldn't reach when William Rigg 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. England made a substitution. Leandro Gombal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. With an all-out effort, England's Leandro Gombal threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kai Havertz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Gombal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leandro Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Stockton in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over England could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CAFC1905 throughout the match.
