Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zico Zellier started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Matías Almeida got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 3rd minute, Sven-Edvin Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th minute Boğaçhan Akyel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponciano Abarca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanyo Búnkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Barovero having to interfere. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when River CBBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Stanyo Búnkov came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Matías Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Ponciano Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Matías Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River CBBA's protests and gave Matías Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Matías Almeida hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Ponciano Abarca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River CBBA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sven-Edvin Jansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zico Zellier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ponciano Abarca to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 61st minute of play. Sven-Edvin Jansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. River CBBA made a substitution. Juan Funes replaced Ponciano Abarca. GuateFortín's Eliseo Umanzor was substituted for Máximo Perrone. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Umanzor in the 66th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanyo Búnkov in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in River CBBA's zone, Zico Zellier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal and Zico Zellier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes in the game Eliseo Umanzor did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Zico Zellier. The supporters of River CBBA booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Pagomari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Funes in the 86th minute of play. Juan Funes scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nery Pumpido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Lozano. In the 94th minute, Juan Funes made a precise shot to the right of Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.
