Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Manos Manteca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanyo Búnkov in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Gunnar Deisler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Stanyo Búnkov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manos Manteca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Stanyo Búnkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Manos Manteca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Máximo Perrone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manos Manteca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The corner ended in Gudesteo Abaunza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido did a great save. Danilo Ocampo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Ocampo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Danilo Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half GuateFortín were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sven-Edvin Jansson made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Zico Zellier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Sampaio in the 56th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Manteca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Manteca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, GuateFortín's Manos Manteca threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zico Zellier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Manos Manteca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Zellier in the 65th minute of play. Manos Manteca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute of the match, Zico Zellier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manos Manteca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Deisler, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Geleberto in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Zellier came free, but Manos Manteca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Zico Zellier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. GuateFortín made a substitution. Eliseo Umanzor replaced Máximo Perrone. Manos Manteca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanyo Búnkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Manos Manteca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanyo Búnkov in the 80th minute of play. Zico Zellier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manos Manteca came out and tried to block the shot, but Zico Zellier slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 87th minute. The GuateFortín supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GuateFortín would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
