In the 4th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Calcio Cuchitril's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Alvarenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sven-Edvin Jansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Dely having to make a save. Edgardo Dely made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Sven-Edvin Jansson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Calcio Cuchitril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Brandao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Dely was a little too slow when Sven-Edvin Jansson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, one of Calcio Cuchitril:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edgardo Dely had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Angel Alvarenga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Juan Brandao hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Edgardo Dely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zico Zellier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GuateFortín were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Calcio Cuchitril's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angel Alvarenga took the corner. Zico Zellier kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calcio Cuchitril's goalkeeper Edgardo Dely, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 28 minutes Calcio Cuchitril's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Angel Alvarenga who took care of the corner kick. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Escalona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Edvin Jansson got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-0 in the right cross in the 35th match minute before Edgardo Dely had time to react. After 37 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Jansson. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Fausto Napier made the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Dely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanyo Búnkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 52 minutes into the match, Stanyo Búnkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgardo Dely. Calcio Cuchitril's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanyo Búnkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 55th play minutes Thierry Henry shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Edgardo Dely and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Ulpiano Villarreal tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Mario Gomez sped through Calcio Cuchitril's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgardo Dely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulpiano Villarreal in the 72nd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Mario Gomez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Gomez in the 80th minute of play forced Calcio Cuchitril's goalkeeper Edgardo Dely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Mario Gomez notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Calcio Cuchitril's Edgardo Dely. Edgardo Dely was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Pablo Mora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After 92 minutes, Mario Gomez made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Calcio Cuchitril's Edgardo Dely tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
