Sebastian Kazczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes in the game, Roger Suárez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alisson Becker having to interfere. In the 7th minute Pacho Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Oks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Munat Tayka's Ruben Da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Munat Tayka's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Kazczyk came free, but Aron Oks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Otto. After 21 played minutes Real Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Kazczyk. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Da Silva in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Juniors's Jacobo Galoer got a free kick in the 31st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Ruben Da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Efe Suheyl got free with Aron Oks in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Real Juniors made a substitution. Miguel Ángel Benito replaced Ahmet Efe Suheyl. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pacho Abechuco was slow to take the kick. During this time Munat Tayka's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Munat Tayka's corner Pacho Abechuco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alisson Becker quite easily take care of the ball. Rosalio Abadie kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Real Juniors's Aron Oks threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miguel Ángel Benito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
