El Pulpo Paceño's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Gabriel Chavez scored to the left of an out of position Nicanor Ascencio, making the score, 1-0. In the 13thth minute of the game Daniel Onega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flamengo de San Blás's Luis Castillero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aristides Lluc scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Castillero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, El Pulpo Paceño's Laurendi Abendano got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mats Kindermans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicanor Ascencio having to make a save. In the 21st minute Mats Kindermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, El Pulpo Paceño's goal looked a bit too open when Tom-Lukas Queraria came free, but Nicanor Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Chavez in the 27th minute of play forced El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Castillero came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by El Pulpo Paceño's Daniel Onega. But to his dismay, Daniel Onega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Onega to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom-Lukas Queraria in the 53rd minute of play forced El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Castillero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Onega in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, El Pulpo Paceño's goal looked a bit too open when Tom-Lukas Queraria came free, but Nicanor Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wiliam Lozano came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Flamengo de San Blás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Lozano couldn't finish the play. Flamengo de San Blás's Mats Kindermans managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joélson Guerra in the 73 minute of the game. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Pulpo Paceño's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mats Kindermans was slow to take the kick. During this time Flamengo de San Blás's players had a chance to rest. Flamengo de San Blás's Mats Kindermans was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicanor Ascencio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 78 minutes, Wiliam Lozano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo de San Blás's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Lozano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Pulpo Paceño's Joseph Lockwood was substituted for Aristides Lluc. In the 80th minute, Wiliam Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Onega kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Joélson Guerra threw the ball into play from the sideline. Flamengo de San Blás's Alexsandro Marquez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joélson Guerra made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Flamengo de San Blás's Gabriel Chavez. After 90th play minutes Wiliam Lozano shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Nicanor Ascencio and just under the crossbar into goal. El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Lozano in the 92nd minute of play. Flamengo de San Blás's attentive Rolando Henriguez managed to snatch the ball when Joélson Guerra made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game.
