An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Ler in the 10th minute of play forced El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Ler in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Tiki Taka FC's Guido Ler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Ascencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, El Pulpo Paceño's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Ler came free, but Nicanor Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Ascencio came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tiki Taka FC's Guido Ler. But to his dismay, Guido Ler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joélson Guerra hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Lluc in the 31st minute of play forced Tiki Taka FC's goalkeeper Oséias de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute El Pulpo Paceño were awarded a corner. Kamil Glik went to the cornerflag to take it. Joélson Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to El Pulpo Paceño getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Joélson Guerra hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Lluc in the 45th minute of play forced Tiki Taka FC's goalkeeper Oséias de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Tiki Taka FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Onega to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes El Pulpo Paceño got a freekick which was hit by Svetoslav Genkov. Nicanor Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Guido Ler sent off a good shot on target. Nicanor Ascencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Ler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mats Ekerot made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Guido Ler. When Kamil Glik came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the El Pulpo Paceño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kamil Glik couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Ler, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Tiki Taka FC got a corner. El Pulpo Paceño's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Su Abaunza ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Daniel Onega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Ler in the 74th minute of play. In the 89th minute Guido Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Pulpo Paceño! Nicanor Ascencio had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Ma Xing Yang's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
