Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dário Diniz started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Florinio in the 2nd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nery Pumpido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dário Diniz's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gustavo Guimarães to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 10 in the game by Sven-Edvin Jansson from a close distance when the talented Gustavo Guimarães managed to make a qualified save. Club Deportivo Águila's players were relieved. When Club Deportivo Águila's Dário Diniz in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GuateFortín's goalie prevented a goal. After 18 minutes, Dário Diniz made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Águila's Miguel Gallegos. But to his dismay, Miguel Gallegos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gustavo Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 25th minute of the match. A hard shot 28 in the game by Angel Alvarenga from a close distance when the talented Gustavo Guimarães managed to make a qualified save. Club Deportivo Águila's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Gustavo Guimarães to make any attempt to save it. Sven-Edvin Jansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Edvin Jansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Zellier in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Zico Zellier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thierry Henry was the one to do the kick off. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Henry in the 51st minute of play. Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Zellier in the 55th minute of play. Angel Alvarenga scored 4-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herminio Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. After 66 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Thierry Henry made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! GuateFortín's Severo Rameriz was substituted for Stanyo Búnkov. GuateFortín's William Villanueva was substituted for Zico Zellier. GuateFortín made a substitution. Ivan Lozano replaced Roberto Trotta. Club Deportivo Águila's Ivan Viscarra was substituted for Herminio Florinio. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Viscarra in the 74th minute. Thierry Henry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Thierry Henry made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Guimarães. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-3. 83 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Gustavo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Viscarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Viscarra. Gustavo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Angel Velis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
