A collision led to Octavia getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Iordanis Anastasiadis hit a great ball. A hard shot by Sergio Batista from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Oscar Frascuelo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nesor Abadie in the 38th minute of play. Juan Funes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luis Cristaldo's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Cristaldo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Octavia's Luis Cristaldo got a free kick in the 45th minute.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Funes was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Iordanis Anastasiadis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Barovero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavia's Iordanis Anastasiadis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Barovero. That made the score 0-1 after 54 minutes of play. A collision led to Octavia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Otoniel Abastas hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otoniel Abastas to maneuver through the defense. Argoitz Abeijon struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Oscar Frascuelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River CBBA. Ponciano Abarca might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Frascuelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ponciano Abarca ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Frascuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 63rd minute of the match. Ponciano Abarca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Frascuelo having to make a save. Oscar Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 69th minute of play. Iordanis Anastasiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Marcelo Barovero made a huge save. River CBBA's Arano Abendano was substituted for Hector Enrique. In the 84th minute Ponciano Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Octavia's goal looked a bit too open when Ponciano Abarca came free, but Oscar Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Otoniel Abastas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Octavia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River CBBA the free kick. In the 91st minute, Sergio Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grzegorz Rostow's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Frascuelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Oscar Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argoitz Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
