The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rasmus Jönsson during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ciudad Tao FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Rasmus Jönsson hit a great ball. Salomon Quaade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Ditlev Delmont put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Evander Zabel. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miron Zabel in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Ditlev Delmont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute, Ciudad Tao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Gråberg to maneuver through the defense. Evander Zabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ditlev Delmont in the 29th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Ditlev Delmont who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciudad Tao FC's Evander Zabel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ditlev Delmont got free with Evander Zabel in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miron Zabel in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Heesen got free with Evander Zabel in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evander Zabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Bartumeu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The excitement rose when Ciudad Tao FC's Salomon Quaade after 44 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper to hold. Evander Zabel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nick Heesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Heesen in the 93rd minute of play forced Ciudad Tao FC's goalkeeper Evander Zabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ágætis Byrjun were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ciudad Tao FC for a fine match.
