Ilie Brumaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ilie Brumaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Elixio, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Baltasar Gaitan got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cable a Tierra's zone, Vintilă Bădescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal and Vintilă Bădescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olimpiu Teodorescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nacho Gonzalez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Nacho Gonzalez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute, Lucas Cisneros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Brumaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The wind increased when Pablo Lizzio made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute of the match Ciprian Gaiță sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nacho Gonzalez skillfully saved the ball. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Lizzio in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Gaitan came free, but Ilie Brumaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Baltasar Gaitan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilie Brumaru. That made the score 1-3 in the 81 minute of play. Dacian Jurăscu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelian Giurcă during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelian Giurcă kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Erauso could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Ilie Brumaru however easily saved by the left post.

The Cable a Tierra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cable a Tierra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
