Baptiste Demestre's late challenge caught a Terceirense F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baptiste Demestre helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Le Stade Briochin UC got a freekick which was hit by Baptiste Demestre. Terceirense F.C.'s Pedro Mantorras got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Terceirense F.C. getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nicolas Lousada hit a great ball. Terceirense F.C.'s Robert Enke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Terceirense F.C. from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Le Stade Briochin UC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Bentes was slow to take the kick. During this time Terceirense F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Joost De Groot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Mantorras in the 25th minute of the match. Joost De Groot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Mantorras, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of Le Stade Briochin UC booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Machado in the 29th minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Robert Enke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Joost De Groot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. António Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Richard Le Clanche made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tony Amadieu however managed to control. A collision led to Le Stade Briochin UC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Richard Le Clanche hit a great ball. Lucas Luis scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joost De Groot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richard Le Clanche kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Mário Rijo struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Joost De Groot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terceirense F.C.. Pedro Mantorras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Le Stade Briochin UC's Octave Revel was substituted for Richard Le Clanche. Terceirense F.C.'s Angelo Guerreiro was substituted for Mário Rijo. Terceirense F.C.'s Rui Borges quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Octave Revel, made in the 71st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Terceirense F.C.'s Gregório Moutinho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joost De Groot. That made the score 0-2 after 72 minutes of play. Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Georges Ravat replaced Radomil Cymbal. Terceirense F.C.'s attentive Rui Borges managed to snatch the ball when Octave Revel made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Terceirense F.C.'s Gregório Moutinho got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 86th minute, Tony Amadieu made a precise shot to the right of Robert Enke. Terceirense F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Tony Amadieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Enke having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Baptiste Demestre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Le Stade Briochin UC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Le Stade Briochin UC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
