An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Oalo in the 5th minute of play forced Margarita's goalkeeper Gavino Olo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Uriel Hever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Margarita's Gavino Olo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Izotz in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Gualterio Romo made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Egoitz. El Retorno de Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sergio Faron hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Cordarrel in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anibal Egoitz saved El Retorno de Palermo from getting behind. Anibal Egoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Iratzeder went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Sergio Faron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gavino Olo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th play minute Gualterio Romo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anibal Egoitz. 3-1. Margarita were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after El Retorno de Palermo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joaquin Cordarrel took the corner. The corner ended in Joaquin Cordarrel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Iratzeder to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Margarita's Gavino Olo got control of the ball when Gerardo Oalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Margarita booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Iratzeder in the 56th minute of the match. El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Atarratze in the 63rd minute of play. Anibal Egoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Iratzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Margarita's Joaquin Cordarrel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anibal Egoitz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anibal Egoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Romo in the 87th minute of play. Gerardo Oalo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Izotz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Cordarrel in the 94th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Anibal Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Margarita had won after a very even match.
