After a rather tough play, El Retorno de Palermo's Gerardo Oalo got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Gloria got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Ikalewicz. Victor Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Egoitz having to interfere. Anibal Egoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Idacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Romero in the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Arnulfo Mikelar put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Anibal Egoitz. Gloria's Bohuš Kadleček proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Gloria from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, Gloria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Mikelar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when Gloria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Ikalewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Oalo made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, David Paublo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bohuš Kadleček. Gloria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Paublo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 60th minute Sergio Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bohuš Kadleček saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Egoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateusz Ikalewicz went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of Gloria booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Huly didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Arnulfo Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Mikelar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anibal Egoitz, 1-5. The referee ignored El Retorno de Palermo's protests and gave Sergio Faron a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Faron. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Epifanio Mederi put in a rough tackle. In the 91st minute, Epifanio Mederi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bohuš Kadleček showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Izotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Romero in the 95th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Anibal Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Paublo in the 96th minute of play forced Gloria's goalkeeper Bohuš Kadleček to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Paublo scored 2-6 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bohuš Kadleček, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gloria walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
