Xalvador Mac Kenney started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, PROTON F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Veliz to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Xalvador Mac Kenney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Veliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Xalvador Mac Kenney recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reinaldo Urbina. Xalvador Mac Kenney showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nicodemo Recalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enric Blanch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute PROTON F.C. were awarded a corner. Maurino Alderete went to the cornerflag to take it. PROTON F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Xalvador Mac Kenney scored to the left of an out of position Reinaldo Urbina, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurino Alderete in the 29th minute of play forced VILLANUEVA FC's goalkeeper Nicodemo Recalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Marcel Blanco notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina. Reinaldo Urbina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Xalvador Mac Kenney kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reinaldo Urbina. That made the score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. PROTON F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Jorge Vicente Soler scored to the left of an out of position Reinaldo Urbina, making the score, 5-0. The supporters of VILLANUEVA FC booed when PROTON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Alberto Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Blanco got free with Reinaldo Urbina in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save PROTON F.C. from getting a goal against them. PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Soler in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurino Alderete to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcel Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Urbina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 54th minute of play. Reinaldo Urbina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacobo Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VILLANUEVA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xacobo Barroso in the 56th minute. When Enric Blanch came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the PROTON F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enric Blanch couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Jorge Vicente Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Urbina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Jorge Vicente Soler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaldo Urbina. PROTON F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Vicente Soler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 66 minutes into the game, Enric Blanch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PROTON F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VILLANUEVA FC the free kick. In the 66th match minute, PROTON F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enric Blanch to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th match minute, VILLANUEVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Gazitúa to maneuver through the defense. The referee showed Aníbal Veliz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aníbal Veliz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Reinaldo Urbina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 77th minute of play. PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Blanco in the 82nd minute of play. Aníbal Veliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Nicodemo Recalde made a huge save. After some careless play in the PROTON F.C. defense, Marcel Blanco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinaldo Urbina. The PROTON F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinaldo Urbina should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Urbina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 93 minutes on the clock, Esteban José Norambuena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of PROTON F.C. booed when VILLANUEVA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball.
