Isidro De Gavardo started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Odín Enríquez in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nibiru X's Renato Kilpatrick. In the 11th minute, Danilo Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nibiru X were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Ballet Azul's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Renato Kilpatrick took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Renato Kilpatrick got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Luis Chilavert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 15 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goal looked a bit too open when Waclaw Dombrowski came free, but Darío Friederichs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nibiru X getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Renato Kilpatrick hit a great ball. Eulalio Callejas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darío Friederichs having to make a save. Darío Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Callejas in the 16th minute of the match. Danilo Quiroga made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nahuel Cunningham however managed to control. 25 minutes into the match, Isidro De Gavardo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert. José Luis Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isidro De Gavardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Luis Chilavert having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Ballet Azul got a freekick which was hit by Esequiel Dohrmann. 34 minutes into the match, Ballet Azul's Eladio Ulloa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darío Friederichs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Tobías Aliaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballet Azul's Eladio Ulloa got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Callejas to make the kick off. Tobías Aliaga hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ballet Azul made a substitution. René Puente replaced Santiago Cardenas. After 56 played minutes Nibiru X got a freekick which was hit by Tobías Aliaga. 59 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goal looked a bit too open when Waclaw Dombrowski came free, but Darío Friederichs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. Nibiru X made a substitution. Diego Armando Faine replaced Jose Rojas. After 61 played minutes Ballet Azul got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Quiroga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Caviedes in the 62nd minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Puente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Darío Friederichs made a huge save. In the 71stth minute of the game Eulalio Callejas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Nibiru X from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Román Grebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Román Grebe in the 81st minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 minutes, Fabio Caviedes made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Román Grebe in the 85th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Román Grebe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ballet Azul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
