In the 17th minute of the match Zorros del Desierto got a corner. VILLANUEVA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cai Jian Chang ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of VILLANUEVA FC booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Roco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute VILLANUEVA FC were awarded a corner. Xacobo Barroso went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Xacobo Barroso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clark Kent quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Mare, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Concetto Mare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xalvador Mac Kenney got free with Clark Kent in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xalvador Mac Kenney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Clark Kent made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's Concetto Mare sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodemo Recalde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Concetto Mare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nicodemo Recalde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 54th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Clark Kent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zorros del Desierto's Valentin Vrânceanu was substituted for Dalmacio Osasun. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Lepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 78 minutes of play, Zorros del Desierto's Jonathan Lepe made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xalvador Mac Kenney took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clark Kent. Clark Kent dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After 94 minutes, Atahan Hatemoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VILLANUEVA FC and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VILLANUEVA FC's Atahan Hatemoğlu got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Zorros del Desierto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zorros del Desierto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
