Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Marchetti in the 3rd minute of the match. Rambo Ramírez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute Diego Armando Lamb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rambo Ramírez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén Martínez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Everardo Ado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Loreto Antoine kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Niguel Pasten. In the 17th minute Wilfredo Marchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rambo Ramírez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Cañas came free, but Rambo Ramírez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubén Martínez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 1-1 became the score in the 47th minute when Diego Armando Lamb elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubén Martínez to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubén Martínez in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Ado saved Algarrobo from getting behind. Honorio Droguett hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Algarrobo's Sarracino Agurto was substituted for Edmundo Cañas. Algarrobo made a substitution. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
